4 y.o. playing with lighter starts fire

Fire broke out at a multi-family home in Springfield Monday afternoon.

Springfield Fire Department spokesman Dennis Leger told 22News the fire happened at 44-46 Brandon Avenue just before 2pm.

Leger said a 4 year old playing with a lighter on the bed is what caused the fire.

No one was hurt in the fire, but the home was heavily damaged.

The fire displaced two adults and two children.
